Are you ready for play time this summer?

No. 31 Hunt for bugs...... Sohpie and Steve - it's behind you!

In April, the National Trust launched a popular play campaign '50 things to do before you're 11 3/4'

Scrap books are available free of charge at properties plus stickers to help you fill in your entries when you complete your adventure.

No. 35. Discover what's in a pond - checked off by Steve

This Monday staff and volunteers took time out to try their hand at some of the activities - 11 3/4 things in 50 minutes to be precise. We all had great fun despite the rain!

A handy wall chart has been produced to show you where you can complete the 50 challenges in Yorkshire, visit to download http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/local-to-you/yorkshire/things-to-see-and-do/page-1/

From here you can also access the dedicated 50 things website or go to http://www.50things.org.uk/ to log your adventure this summer.

We'd love to see your adventures, send any images you take to us on twitter @NTBeningbrough.

To get you started we have a Beastly Bugs and Creepy Crawlies couple of days Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 July. With a trail and bug hunt at 1pm.

Then onto our sporty challenges starting on Friday 27 July. On August 5th you can come and complete No. 49 find a geocache as we have a taster day with Garmin 11am-3pm.

We are open 7 days a week through the school holidays so whatever day, whatever the weather - come out and play!
